Micah loves taking pictures

I discovered that Micah loves to use my camera. after we've taken pictures he looks at them and mimics the faces he made :)

One of the things Caleb got for Christmas was the game clue. Leah loves playing it too do she always begs me to play with her :)

Erik's visit

Erik's visit!

This past week erik was able to come visit me for a little while before heading off to college on friday.

We had SO much fun and made so many good memories that will last us until his next visit which will hopefully be soon:)

From canoe trips to making cupcakes it was a wonderful time together. i miss him already.

Here are some of the pictures from protocol...a little late, but they're here:) we went to a fancy italian restaurant, which was difficult for me because at the time i was not eating any gluten, but i got a salad:) After dinner we went to a bowling alley and bowled for the rest of the night. we had a pretty good time:)

Maple Bacon Fried Rice

-Maple Bacon Fried Rice-

3-4 Tablespoons of butter

1/4 cup of chopped onions

1/4 cup raw bacon pieces (about 2-3 strips cut into small pieces)

3 Tablespoons of maple Syrup

A pinch of garlic salt

2 1/2 cups of cooked rice

3 tablespoons of soy sauce

Melt butter in a frying pan, add chopped onions, bacon and garlic salt. After they're sizzling nicely, add the maple syrup. When the bacon looks like it is begining to cook (about 2 or 3 minutes, stiring ocassionally) add rice. Drizzle soy sauce over the top. Let it simmer for about 3 minutes before eating. :)
